On MSNBC's "Morning Joe," top Obama adviser David Axelrod hit Clinton on NAFTA, calling her inconsistent, talked up Obama's Iraq plan.

Also defended Obama's description of McCain's "100 years in Iraq" comment.

On NBC's "Today," Andrea Mitchell said Penn's meeting may hurt Clinton in Pennsylvania. Tim Russert said campaign had no choice but to let him go.

ABC's "Good Morning America" stressed Penn's conflict with others in the campaign. Jake Tapper looked at Clinton claim that she criticized the Iraq War before Obama did in the Senate; Tapper said claim is
"not true."

CBS' "Early Show" said of Penn, "Playing both sides (of the Colombian deal) against the middle got him canned."
