All three networks led with breach of candidates' passport files.

ABC: Called passport breach a "colossal embarrassment." Covered Richardson endorsement, pointing ties to Clintons, calling decision a "body blow." Touched on back-and-forth Obama, Clinton camp media calls. Ran reaction piece to Obama's race speech interviewing white voters in Pennsylvania. Said the speech was catered to "elites," none of the people interviewed had heard it.

NBC: Said State Dept. still can't say how it happened, why higher ups were out of the loop. Covered Obama, McCain reaction, State Department damage control. Covered Richardson endorsement saying "jovial rally sorely needed" for Obama camp. In interview with Richardson, he said call notifying Clinton got "a little heated" and "tense" but he's proud of decision. Touched on Obama clarifying "typical white person" comment, B. Clinton-Wright picture, saying it's "questionable" if Obama camp releasing it was good for them. Feature package on fodder race is giving political cartoonists.

CBS: Said breach raises questions "about how well the government is guarding the information on all of us." Pointed out State Dept. insists it doesn't appear to be "dirty tricks," but just "prying eyes." Noted similar B. Clinton situation in '92. Pointed to CBS poll measuring Wright effect, race speech. Said B. Clinton-Wright photo "competed for space" with "coveted" Richardson endorsement. Trippi weighed in, said "there still is a path" for Clinton win (but it includes winning Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Indiana and would have been easier with Michigan and Florida re-vote).
