ABC World News: Led with Clinton's emotion, showing full clip of moment and including Edwards response. Teased a Tuesday "Good Morning America" interview with Clinton and Diane Sawyer, where she talks about the different standards of women in politics. Also covered Obama reaching his "tipping point" with NH crowds, the high stakes for McCain, Romney bracing for a loss and Stephanopoulos weighing in on the Clinton strategy. Ended with piece on growing NH, and influence state has on the race.

 

NBC Nightly News: Led with Clinton "clearly showing the strain this morning," showed full clip of tear moment, then tight showdown between Romney, McCain. Williams went on the trail with Obama (see post below), Russert weighed in on the race.

 

CBS Evening News: Also showed full Clinton clip; woman who prompted the response said she's now leaning toward Clinton. Reporter said Obama's response was more sympathetic than Edwards'. McCain said debate performances, improvement in Iraq have helped him in NH. Romney said he faces "uphill fight" against McCain but predicted victory. Campaign Notebook included Huckabee on Letterman Mon., Edwards' bus marathon and latest ad, Bloomberg in Oklahoma, and good NH weather forecast for Tuesday. Later, Jeff Greenfield saw no damage from Clinton's show of emotion and said McCain camp is working to lower NH expectations. Bob Schieffer said Bill Bradley told him that supporting Obama makes people feel good about the country.
